Bank of Canada Scholarship Award

This award offers $8000, mentorship, and potential work opportunities at the Bank.

Applicants must be post-secondary students in Canada from underrepresented and under-resourced communities. These include Indigenous Peoples, persons with disabilities, visible minorities, LGBTQ2S+ individuals, and Francophones.

The Brandeis Commitment

Starting in the 2025-2026 academic year, Brandeis University offers a new financial aid initiative, the Brandeis Commitment. The program offers generous scholarship packages based on family income:

  • Families earning $75,000 or less will receive grants covering full tuition.

  • Families earning between $75,001 and $200,000 will receive grants covering half tuition.

The Colgate Commitment

Colgate University makes its rigorous liberal arts education more accessible through "The Colgate Commitment," a comprehensive financial aid initiative aimed at significantly reducing college costs and student debt.

  • Students from families with an annual income below $80,000 will attend tuition-free.

  • Students from families with annual incomes between $80,000 and $175,000 will pay a percentage of their annual income toward tuition, with aid packages designed to eliminate federal loans.

Coca-Cola Scholars Program Scholarship

Coca-Cola is offering $20,000 to 150 high-achieving scholars that are committed to positively impacting their communities.

  • Must be a citizen or resident of the United States

  • At the time of application, must be in the last year of attending a U.S. high school

  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Applicants should be planning to attend an accredited post-secondary institution in the U.S.

    • Applications for the 2026 scholarship period will open on August 1, 2025.

Horatio Alger National Scholars (National)

$25 k need-based scholarship for U.S. high school students who’ve overcome adversity.

  • High school juniors/seniors with strong academics and resilience.

  • Deadline: Summer–Fall (check website).

Jackie Robinson Foundation Scholars

Jackie Robinson Foundation (JRF) Scholars provide up to $35,000 of college scholarships over four years along with mentorship, leadership training, career guidance, and other opportunities. Scholars also learn important practical life skills that lead them to be highly successful in college.  

  • Must be a graduating high school senior enrolling in a 4-year college

  • Must be a U.S. citizen with evidence of financial need

  • Have a record of academic excellence

  • Demonstrates leadership potential and is dedicated to community service

The Gates Scholarship

The Gates Scholarship is a full-ride scholarship for minority high school seniors who come from low-income families. Each year, about 300 students are chosen and the scholarship covers all of tuition that isn’t already covered by financial aid or family contributions. It also comes with mentoring, leadership development, and support throughout college.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or permanent resident

  • Must be a high school senior with at least a 3.3 GPA, and maintain a pretty good academic standing

  • Must be Pell-eligible (demonstrate financial need)

Jack Kent Cooke College Scholarship Program 

The Cooke College Scholarship Program is an undergraduate scholarship program for high-achieving high school seniors with financial need who seek to attend and graduate from the nation's best four-year colleges and universities. Each award is intended to cover a significant share of the student’s educational experience, up to $55,000 annually – including tuition, living expenses, books and required fees.

Eligibility Requirements: 

  • High school senior

  • Enrolling in a four-year college

  • Demonstrated financial need (applicants with a family annual gross income up to $95,000 are considered)

  • Minimum 3.75 GPA

Thrive Scholars Program
Thrive Scholars is a long-term support program designed to help high-achieving students from under-resourced communities succeed at top colleges and competitive careers.
The program offers intensive summer academies, ongoing academic support, mentorship, internship access, and career counseling from high school through college and beyond.

 

Applicants are typically high-achieving students from low-income or under-resourced backgrounds who are motivated to attend top colleges.

Dell Scholars Program

The Dell Scholars Program is a scholarship and college support program created by the Michael & Susan Dell Foundation to help under-resourced students pursue higher education. Each year, about 500 students are selected to become Dell Scholars. Winners receive a $20,000 scholarship, a free Dell laptop, textbook credits, and ongoing support services including academic resources, financial literacy training, and mental health support to help them succeed through college graduation.

Eligibility requirements:

  • Must participate in an approved college readiness program (such as AVID, Upward Bound, GEAR UP, etc.) in grades 11 and 12

  • Must be a graduating high school senior

  • Must have at least a 2.4 GPA

  • Must demonstrate financial need and be Pell Grant–eligible

  • Must plan to enroll full-time in a bachelor’s degree program at an accredited U.S. college or university

Programs

Summer Data Science Bootcamp
This online beginners' bootcamp is designed for high school students who are curious about technology, analytics, and solving real-world problems with data. Starting in June 16, for 8 weeks, you will be using the programming language R. The bootcamp is free but you must have a computer with R, RStudio and Git installed; be able to use Zoom (with a working camera); and able to share your screen. Neither programming nor statistics experience is required. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis.

Scientific Enrichment Summer Program at Columbia’s Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center

Columbia is offering a free, online summer enrichment program from July 1st till July 31st. Students who complete the program will get a certificate from Columbia and will learn about cancer research and professional development. Topics include an introduction to cancer research, panel discussions with researchers in the field, environmental equity initiatives in your community, professional development in the college personal statement and other college admissions advice, student-led activities, etc. Registration will close on June 23rd or when full capacity is reached.

Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars Program

The Jack Kent Cooke Young Scholars Program is a 5-year program aimed at supporting bright youth from 8th grade and throughout high school. The Young Scholars Program offers dedicated academic advising and financial aid for college, as well as funding for extracurricular activities, such as music lessons or needed technology. Eligible students must be in the 7th grade at the time of application or entering 8th grade in the fall of application year; demonstrate financial need (adjusted gross income below $95,000); earned mostly A's in classes starting from 6th grade (no C's or below in common core subjects); There are 2 required Young Scholar summer programs. Applications typically open in February and close in April.
