Stem Kit:
-
The STEM Kit Team was founded in Summer 2024, and the team has since distributed more than 200 STEM Kits in CA, NJ, and NY. Now, interns are working on their STEM Kit BUILD Projects, which work to diversify the STEM Kit Program by capitalizing on interns’ interests outside of STEMpathize. For example, one intern is hosting an art exhibition and auction to raise funds for the STEM Kit Team. The STEM Kit Team is working in collaboration with other nonprofits and other STEMpathize teams to expand distribution to new locations, with a special focus on area that may be under-resourced.

Outreach:
-
During the summer of 2024, the Outreach Team worked on individual portfolio projects meant to encapsulate their outreach experience (ex. educational courses, hosting competitions)! The team has also added online brochures to workshop emails that introduce contacts to STEMpathize as an organization; sent sponsorship packages to prospective sponsors/collaborators, which detail services that STEMpathize offers to supporters; and a resource hub for those who want to explore the various different fields of STEM. As of now, Outreach is working on collaboration projects with other organizations to expand our reach.

Social Media:
-
Since Winter 2024, the Social Media Team has accomplished multiple projects, such as researching internship opportunities for high schoolers and creating trivia stories. They are shifting their focus from researching STEM topics to promoting STEMpathize specifically, using iMovie to create quick videos and make posts for online events.
-
The Social Media Team have recently been working on a new post series that takes hypotheticals and explores if they are scientifically possible, like could a lightsaber from Star Wars be real and not just exist in movies.
Website:
-
During the beginning of 2024, the Website Design Team worked on making the website look fresher by changing colors, font styles, and more. As the year went on, the team has successfully made a Google Calendar for students/parents to keep track of events, ramped up the social media page to increase engagement, featured the Blog Team’s newest article on the Home Page weekly, and created the All Team Updates page! The team has recently finished making a STEM Fun Facts page and is currently planning to make a interactive tool for users to learn more about careers!
Blog:
-
The Blog Writing Team posts blog articles every Friday in partnership with the Website Team to be featured on the website. They are currently working on our next cycle of articles, which includes articles about a variety of important STEM topics, like plastics and tissue engineering. In addition to its regular STEM blog articles, the team has introduced both a creative column and feature articles to diversify content, although their primary focus has remained on producing consistent STEM articles.
