
EcoQuest: Clean Energy Adventure
Our town needs your help! Pollution has made the air dirty, different varieties of animals are disappearing, and the people aren’t sure what to do next. That’s where you come in!
In EcoQuest, you’ll become an Eco-Hero – a town advisor who protects the Earth.
EcoQuest Next Steps
Your missions are to find clean energy to replace toxic energy, help save the animals in danger, and redesign the town to be eco-friendly and sustainable.
Activity #1: Clean Energy Quiz
Welcome! The first step in cleaning up our town is to click on this youtube link to watch the video. Types of Energy for Kids - Renewable and Non-Renewable Energies
Once you’ve watched the video, it's time to take the quiz! Click on the link for the Google Form.
If you get a question wrong and submit it, an explanation will pop up after you’ve submitted the form to help you out.
If the form won’t submit: make sure to check that all required questions are answered. Make sure your internet connection is stable. Try switching browsers or reload your window if necessary.
After submitting your form, you should see a confirmation message, you’ve finished! Take a screenshot of this message. You’re now one step closer to cleaning up your town!
Activity #2: Find the Energy Symbol
In this activity, you’ll explore energy symbols and learn what type of energy each represents. This will help you recognize renewable and non-renewable energy sources quickly.
Step 1 Prepare:
Review the Clean Energy video and your notes to recall different energy types and their symbols. Think about solar panels, wind turbines, coal, and other energy sources.
Step 2 Play the Game:

Identify each symbol.

Write down the type of energy it represents.

Pay attention to the difference between clean/renewable energy and toxic/non-renewable energy.
